HOLD FAST

Some will be familiar with the nautical term 'hold fast', a command given to sailors facing an approaching storm. The warning to grip tight to the ship's rigging to avoid being washed overboard, as the ship plunges through wind and waves, uncertain what the outcome will be...

But what does this have to do with us?

Well, whilst conditions are not as perilous in London W2, we wanted to take the ethos of being survivors in the storm and create an experience for collectors, that is neither a gallery, shop or showroom. A place for items you may expect to see in the darkest times, or even the brightest.

Artists, designers and craftmakers as long as human history have created things inspired by both. Often far from conventional, these are items with stories, some known, some unknown, survivors that have been gathered together from 'drifting in the sea'.
