A pair of Deco period hand carved wooden parrot wall bracket/corbels in the Anglo-Indian style. In Indian lore, the parrot is a significant symbol often associated with love, prosperity and wisdom.
Each piece is masterfully carved with crisp geometric details, overlapping feathers and long, stepped tail feathers. The wood is finished in a rich, deep brown stained finish highlighting the carved features and grain of the wood.
