Photograph of model and actress Ingrid Boulting (b. 1947), taken by Italian photographer Gian Paolo Barbieri in 1974 as part of a campaign for Revlon Europe. The notable headscarf in the image was created by Barbieri himself, using his own scarf, tied with lateral knots inspired by historical farmwives.

 

This particular print was produced as an artist proof prior to the 2008 exhibition of Barbieri's fashion and ethnographic work at Paul Smith's gallery in Mayfair, London.
